Turmeric Garlic and Chicken Sandwich

November _ 16

Lunch, Recipes

Happy Saturday, friends! I just finished a new hot yoga class at my go-to gym, Studio Three, and I am ready to eat the entirety of a Whole Foods store. But instead, I’m going to have this magical creation I whipped up with Cedar’s Foods instead. Good move, Addie, good move.

When Cedar’s Foods reached out to me to collaborate with them I was silently jumping for joy. As my name has “chickpea” in it, collaborating with hommus brands that I use all the time and genuinely love is one of the highlights of my job. I am always so transparent with others about the products I use and Cedar’s is one of those brands I couldn’t rant enough about. If you don’t believe me, ask my roommate Gina how many containers of hommus I have in the fridge on an average day.

One of the best parts of my job of working at Whole Foods over the summer as a cashier was telling people what I recommended as I scanned their items and sometimes when we were lucky, the customer service got the opportunity to sample. I remember the day we sampled Cedar’s and my boss told me there was free hommus. We literally stood behind the registers whispering to each other “oh my gosh, you have to try this one!”

Maybe best part of the job.

Cedar’s Foods uses non-GMO, vine-dried garbanzo beans, they DON’T use preservatives and artificial additives and they care about the quality of their product and what goes into it. As someone who checks the ingredients of pretty packaged product in Whole Foods/Trader Joe’s, you can bet this is one I go back for time and time again.

Some of my favorite flavors of their hommus include the balsamic caramelized onion, garlic kale (it tastes like a vegan artichoke dip no joke) and for when I want to keep things plain and simple: the garlic hommus.

Since I tend to eat some pretty wacky things, keeping it simple with this garlic hommus in between two slices of sprouted bread with some extra goodies is all I need at times.

To grab the recipe for my Turmeric Garlic and Chicken Sandwich, you can find the recipe on Cedar’s site here.

P.s. Aside from this delicious hommus, they create tzatziki, salads, dips, salsa, pita chips and wraps. To check ‘em all out head to their site and find them in your store STAT! 😉

This post was sponsored by Cedar’s Foods however all thoughts and opinions are my own. I only collaborate with brands I would recommend to others and genuinely love and support. Thank you for making Chickpea in The City possible!

Hi! I’m Addie, but some say “Chickpea”. I’m a health and lifestyle blogger and content creator based in Chicago, IL. I look for light in pretty much everything: people, places and every day moments. I focus my energy towards things that inspire me and bring me positive energy, including yoga flows, high quality ice cream, finding new music and noticing the little things in life.
